A smoothie is a miracle; an easy solution of how to consume your five a day. There are many smoothie recipes to discover, and as they’re increasing in popularity it’s easy to find ones that will give you inspiration and best of all, you can tailor your smoothies to what you like!
For this post we’ve decided to get seasonal! Here are four recipes which are specifically designed to complement a certain season:
Spring: To celebrate the leaves blooming, It’s got to be a green smoothie! Simply add 1 cup of Spinach, Banana, Kiwi, and Mango to 2 cups of fresh Apple Juice.
Summer: This smoothie recipe is perfect to cool you down. Add 2 cups of Pineapple and 3 cups of Banana to 2 cups of Coconut Milk and sprinkle Chia seeds on the top for a healthy Pina Colada!
Autumn: It’s all about the Pumpkin in this season: Add 1 cup of Pumpkin, 1 cup of pear, 1 cups of apple and a small bit of ginger (a quarter of the size of your thumb) to 2 cups of Almond Milk. Sprinkle on crushed Pumpkin Seeds for a bit of texture!
Winter: Cram in some much needed vitamins by adding 2 cups of Orange segments, 1 cup of carrot, 1 cup of Apple, half a cup of Kale, and 2 handfuls of Blueberries to 2 cups of Apple Juice.
These are just four delicious examples that smoothies are available all year round!
