EatFirst pledges 4,500 meals to Magic Breakfast

This Christmas we’re proud to announce a year-long collaboration with the charity Magic Breakfast – supporting the amazing work they do to end hunger in UK schools by providing healthy breakfasts to vulnerable children. Over half a million children in the UK arrive at school each day too hungry or malnourished to learn.

In the food industry, Christmas is a time when we go overboard to create incredible meal experiences to help our guests celebrate and enjoy the festivities.

It’s also a time when we think about how we can help those who are in a less fortunate position than ourselves.

This Christmas we’re announcing our biggest giving campaign ever. In 2018 EatFirst will help Magic Breakfast give over 4,500 breakfasts to children in schools all over the UK.

At EatFirst we work with charitable organisations throughout the year. We make sure none of our meals go to waste by working closely with Too Good To Go, and partner with the food sharing app OLIO to help local people in our community to access quality meals.

This initiative was spearheaded by EatFirst founders Rahul Parekh and British Takeaway Award winning head chef Benn Hodges.

Rahul said: “We love supporting charities which share our vision for putting quality food at the heart of healthy, happy lifestyles. Working with Magic Breakfast to provide nutritious breakfasts for vulnerable children at school is a wonderful project for our staff, suppliers and customers to be involved with.”

Benn comments: “Knowing that our donations will enable children to be ready and able to learn at school throughout the year is just incredible, every dish we make will now go a great deal further.”
